Our Communal Amenities

Community Hall

Available to be reserved, this room is perfect for clubs, parties, or other activites.

There is a full use kitchen, pool table, speakers and sound system, and a piano. There are also various volunteer run activities open to all residents.

Garden

GVS built and purchased 75 raised beds for residents to grow their own food. 5 of the raised plots are a community garden initiative run by office staff and volunteers.

After each harvest, the produce from the community gardens is shared amongst seniors at Chown Place who face food insecurity or may not have the physical ability or time to garden full time.

Most residents also have a small garden space in the entry of their suites that they are free to turn into a garden with flowers or produce, as long as the area is looked after.
